Syracuse busted WVU up pretty good last year too. Sure WVU played in the BIG12 this year, but they shared a conference with Syracuse for years.
No different from us playing aTm in our bowl game this year.
TCU & wvu really sucked it up in their bowl games.
I don't care about WVU. They didn't come to play. TCU did come to play in their game and unfortunately lost by a small margin. A win for them makes the Big 12 look a bit better. I agree that they are both **** teams. WVU must have a bunch of turn coats on it because they just showed up and that is all. Next year for them is going to be miserable for the coach and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Yep. The last thing Sooner fans should want is for the conference to look weak.
Flash back to 2007- LSU gets in over OU with the same record. League perception helped.
2008- OU and UF get in over USC. League perception helped.
2011- Bama gets to have a rematch over OSU's bid. League perception helped.
2012- The winner of Bama vs UGA are ****ured to get in over Oregon and KSU despite UGA losing 35-7 to South Carolina and Bama having fewer quality wins. League perception helps.
This is a "rising tide raises all ships" situation. We need to be as close to 9-0 in this year's bowls as possible. It projects strength and will help prevent our teams having to go to the fiesta instead of the title game.

It's never good for OU for conference teams to win games for recruiting alone. I never want a Big 12 team to win any non conference games. There's no good reason to root for the Big 12.
