    LOTW -- ****FINAL STANDINGS****

Three people still have not given me picks. I will post everyone else's picks by 3pm today.

Congrats to thurman murman, winner of the 'Personal LOTW' contest, and TailyPo for being the worst of the worst. Contact Irish_Sooner on how to get your winnings.

    It's been fun regardless.

I'm 2-4 as I sit with two tough losses and one was a real ream job.
TCU was a tough loss. That punt returner totally ****ed 'em. They outplayed MSU basically the whole game.
It sucks and while that kind of **** happens, the other loss was absolute bull****.
Did any of you guys see Dook completely **** themselves?

    I had Duke +7.
First of all, they led BIG early. Later got inside the 10 again and fumbled and could have been up by 24.
Then they allowed Cincy to climb all the way back by the 4th.
Even after that ****tastic collapse, the score was tied with abt 2mins left - and they were running the clock out preparing to score to win the game.
And of course they fumble inside the 10 for the second time with about 90 secs left.
Cincy scores (80+ yard p**** play) on the next play or 2 plays later to go up by 7...holy balls, they gave that game away.

So with less than a minute left, the only solace I have is that it will at least be a push. I'll take it.
And of course while trying to score late - their QB gets nailed - the ball squirts out.
And some dude from Cincy runs it back for a completely meaningless TD with basically no time left to win by 14.

I probably ain't winning this thing anyway. But I'd rather lose games 'fair and square' (I picked WVU, that's a well earned loss) than that kind of crap.
Good thing I had no money riding on it. Still, even as a loss, I'll stand by it. Duke was a good pick.

Loving your reverse psychology. You're one game out of first. Rest easy, my friend. Long way to go.

    Edit* Vandy covered.
    thurman murman******94-80
    Hamilton*************93-82
    1.5 games out.
I need a Florida cover, and for Northwestern +2.5 and LSU/Clemson UNDER 59 to be losers to p**** him.
I can do no better than tie him in the win column.
So if we tie in the win column, I would need him to lose one more than me (because I have one more push).
I think even a push on any of those 3 games eliminates me as champion.

Thurman and I have 4 of 5 identical picks on the remaining auto picks (bowls).
So really, only comparing my own chances to p**** thurman, those 4 picks are completely irrelevant.
I think others could p**** us both depending on how many unique picks are left (not identical).

(edit - Vandy currently up 31-14).

We have 4 of 5 identical picks on the remaining auto picks (bowls).
So really, only comparing me and thurman, those 4 picks are completely irrelevant.
I don't know if we could fall below the others or not. I only crunched the numbers between thurman and I.

    Florida-Louisville we have different picks.
So even if I win that matchup vs thurman, I still need to make up one more game.
And then if we tie in the win column, I would need him to lose one more than me (because I have one more push).
So I can only win by tying in the win column and him having one more loss.

He's 4-4 as we sit, I am 3-6. Let's say we both win all 4 of those bowl picks that we share.
I am still 2 games out in the Win column. And I've only got two more games to make up those 2 games.
Whereas he has 3 left, 2 of which are unique (the FLA-Louisville bowl I would obviously need to win in any scenario).

In other words, I need Vandy and Florida to cover, plus I would need thurman to lose both:
    Northwestern +2.5
    LSU/Clemson UNDER 59

And if I figured it right, that's the only scenario where I would win. Thanks Dook.
Thanks for the breakdown I now know when to "lol @" whoever loses (especially if it is Thurman as he "lol'ed" at me when I lost in the Survival pool ... That is right be afraid ... be very afraid!)

No lol'ing at thurman this week.

thurman hit the Under on the LSU game. Unless I am missing something, I believe I'm now eliminated from first place.
OUfootball can only make up 3 games on him. I believe he's eliminated from first place.
Even if thurman loses out, he'll finish ahead of caldie. Choctaw can't get there either, I don't think.

Mathematically, I think that might be it fellas.
The silver lining is while he got the Under - those cajun ****heads at LSU got ****ing beat. So there you go.

If I end up losing by a game, that will suck. At this point I hope Louisville covers so I'll at least lose by 2 games. It's too bad I can't go back and change some of those auto bowl picks just to make it more interesting. Once again, I'll blame Duke. And that ****hole punt returner from TCU. Or I could blame the other week when I stupidly picked an NFL game that had already been played.

Or I could just give it up to the winner...
Congrats to thurman for his Geoff Ogilivy impersonation as I performed my full Mickelson transformation by season's end.
Not that I ever had a big lead but I was at the top for most of the year.

I will say I'm relieved it didn't come down to me having to pull for Northwestern or Louisville to win this thing. (NW has covered 11 of 12 games this year though.)

Thanks for all the work, Ninja.

    All were worthy competitors.

I look forward to defending my title next year.

Yeah. I was 6 or 7 and 0 using Northwestern this year.
As soon as I started watching that game today, I regretted not taking them.
They were money all ****ing year. And I was on them early.
Then I decided that I would stop making good picks because I felt sorry for all of you.

Pretty good overall record on the personal LOTWs. 7 had winning records with another even .500. Really pretty when statistically Vegas wins 65-70% of the time.
