I don't see a clear cut first overall pick in this bunch so far.

it seems the newest thing in the nfl is a mobile qb that can run the option i don't think jones fits that bill.
KC is not the place for him without a good OL.

If KC is smart they trade down instead of drafting Geno Smith.

I kinda wish Landry would get picked...but it'll probably be Geno Smith...no one is clear-cut #1 though
Copy cat league. I don't see Jones going high first round. He doesn't have great feet.
8 teams or so need QBs. Landry will go in the 1st/2nd round.
Haha I hope so

I personally like Barkley better than Smith. He seems to be really steady--I haven't seen many interviews with Smith though.
Chiefs are going after Vick.
The Cardinals, Jets, Raiders, and Chiefs are the only teams that definitely need a QB. The Raiders lack a 1st round pick to draft one.
The Eagles, Bills, Jaguars, Vikings, Bears, Titans, and Broncos may consider drafting another QB in the 2nd or 3rd rounds--with 3rd round more likely. The Bills, Jags, Vikings, Titans, and Bears are still heavily financially invested in their QBs, which makes dumping their QBs impractical. If these teams are looking for a QB, they're doing it on the cheap. The Jets are as well, but they've had enough of Sanchez. Broncos may look to groom a backup for Peyton, maybe a 3rd rounder.
None of the available QBs are surefire Top 10 draft pick material. This may be a record of fewest QBs drafted in the first round. I can easily see all the bad teams just throwing up their hands and drafting best play available in the first round, possibly even wait until next year to draft their franchise QB. They may want a Landry Jones or a Geno Smith to compete for the starting job, but they'd want them on the cheap. For these QBs, its actually better for them. If Landry Jones is the 3rd round pick of the Cardinals, good for him--it means the Cardinals spent a 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder (likely OL) to improve the team beforehand. If the Seahawks picked Russel Wilson in the 1st round, they would have missed on Bruce Irvin, who's provided 8 sacks this year. If they drafted Russell Wilson in the 2nd round, they would have missed on Bobby Wagner, who leads the Seahawks in tackles. Without one or both of those guys, the Seahawks don't have one of the best defenses in the league, and Russell Wilson isn't guaranteed to be leading the Seahawks into the playoffs. If Sam Bradford was a 3rd round pick instead of a 1st overall pick, he would be on a better team--because that team would have an extra 1st rounder at least bolstering the overall team's talent.
Vikings won't look for a new QB. Especially if they get the QB play they've gotten the last couple weeks. Broncos say that the guy they have behind Manning is their QB of the future so they won't look there. Cutler is getting paid too much and is probably too talented to replace but they could look for one for the right price.
A team I would add to the list is the Browns. Weeden isn't liked at all by the new management. Weeden has the support of the coaches and GM but they will all be canned more than likely.

They were sure talking up the QB from Syracuse the other night in the WVU game, said that a lot of NFL teams were looking at him with interest.I don't recall hearing anything about this guy all season, evidently his numbers and play have garnered this attention.
If Geno Smith deserves a first round draft pick, then I deserve to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Smith is NOT very good, had an average season, and a HORRIBLE bowl game with some of the best WR weapons in college football surrounding him.
But then again, I wouldn't have drafted Tannehill or Weeden so early last year--so what do I know.

Wouldn't be the dumbest thing the Chiefs have ever done.
where did you hear this? from every story i've read, everyone was shocked at miami's turnaround from the previous season. he holds miami's rookie record for completions and yards. his best receiver is hartline and has bush as running back.
they picked him first round last year under new coaching staff. why in the hell would the new management waste another first/second round on another rookie QB?
Agree with most of this. I've said all year that I dont think there are going to be many highly drafted QBs this year. I think the Cards, Jets and Chiefs are definitely going to be looking for a starter. The Raiders may be looking for one in the next couple of years, but dont know if they will draft one highly this year.
IMO you are going to see a lot of teams sticking with their young QBs and trying to build around them, due to the relatively weak QB cl**** (thinking of teams like the Jags, Vikings, Titans, Eagles with Foles, etc).

Bills GM Buddy Nix said that the Bills are going to draft a franchise QB so LJ won't go to Buffalo.
Who in this draft is a franchise QB?
