10-8 in conference. In all honesty I actually believe we will completely crap the bed in one of our home games I've picked as a win (maybe Baylor or K-State) but we'll probably also win a game we're not supposed to win so it will even out. In the end, the addition of WVU and TCU will help our W/L record in the conference.

That's my prediction. List yours below. One more thing. . . there's really only about 4-5 of us who regularly post about OU Men's Basketball. How about we leave the insults out of it, at least initially, and put down your real predictions. Hell, I'd even go in for putting up a small amount of $$ each and giving it to the person who comes the closest at the end of the season if anyone is up for it.

From what little I've watched and heard, this team could finish top 4 in league (10-8 or better). Saturday I saw a talented team that lacks a little discipline/understanding of the situation (i.e. quick, ill-advised shots when up ~10pts with only minutes left). Unless it's a free break-away layup, slow the hell down and take your 30 secs!! Other than that, I was pleasantly surprised Saturday.

I like how Kruger coaches against Baylor. We've always seem to play them tough.

At KSU and ISU will be a buzz saw, but I think them coming to the LNC will be a buzz saw for them, thus the split (get it...? buzz saw...).

OSU was not impressive last Saturday, and I kind of see last Saturday's game as a launching point for us, and the start of the decline for them.

NBAdraft.net has Smart as a lottery pick in next year's draft (#6) and I've heard rumblings of Nash being an NBA draftee at some point. Oklahoma State SHOULD go at least 10-8. Fortunately for us they have a ****ty coach. P.S. The same mock draft has M'Baye going late in the second round (#50) to Atlanta.

i really liked how we played....mentally.....at kstate.....
after their run in the first half.....we never gave up.....
everyone gave great effort to the end...
if we can limit turnovers on the road....i think we'll have a chance to win every game except prolly ku.....
i think lon has built a very mentally tough/confident team thus far...
we'll see how that holds up over the next 5 games....

OU's getting ready to probably drop an 0-for in the next five games, but a home win against K-State Feb. 2 is possible. OU is, at best, a middle of the pack team. 8-10 or 9-9 finish. But this team would be much worse without Kruger.

This would be 7-6 the rest of the way and finishing 20-10. and is actually a bit optimistic I think. I think that has us right on the bubble and hopefully just on the good side of it.
I really think Baylor will be a tough match up for us because of their size inside. That was a big factor in our KSU loss on the road. I think KSU at home, Baylor at home, ISU on the road are games we can win and these are the ones we need to get us into the tourney. The KSU home game and the ISU road game are ones I think we can handle. Baylor I think gets us on the road and that will be a really good win for us if we can beat them at home.

I think we are more likely to end up 18-12 than 21-9. 18-12 or 19-11 would be a good year, with us probably just missing the tournament. Hopefully we can get to 20-10 b/c I think that would get us in. And hopefully SFA wins out because we don't have a signature win yet and not sure we will get one. (Baylor or KSU or KU). We really need to beat Baylor and KSU at home, imo.

I agree we really need a good "signature win" to guarantee us a spot in the tournament. I think if we can reach 20 wins, we will be right on the bubble. Not sure if the Big XII gets more than 5 in this year.

I think the difficult thing will be for the guys to continue to have confidence after this tough stretch. We are lucky to have Coach Kruger, I think. We will be lucky to get one more win before we play TCU and Coach Kruger is one of the few coaches I think could get these guys back up to make a run after that difficult stretch. Who knows if they will do it, but I have more confidence they will because of Coach Kruger!
