I was up to my heaviest ever (190 lbs) 6 months ago when my wife gave birth. Apparently it is a real thing for the guy to gain baby weight. Been back working out for a few months and now weigh around 175 lbs. My goal is to still cut some fat, but bulk up. Maybe in the 180 lb range.

This is the boat I've been in. Was 256 to start 2012, got as low as 204.

Now I've Started 2013 at 213, hoping to get down to 190.

Cut your calories and clean up the type of calories you're taking in. Caloric intake will depend on you're daily burn.

I haven't stepped on a scale yet but between this flu and my broken tooth I'm off to a good start. Scrambled eggs in the morning and oatmeal at night. Yummmeee!

I've been using the my fitness pal app. and it has helped me loose 7 since my surgery in the beginning of November. I knew that I wouldn't be able to run, so I had to clean my diet. I have only been allowed to start working out 2 weeks ago and all I can do is ride an exercise bike. It is really sobering to see how many calories some foods contain.

Really boils down to this. I've used Weight Watchers to help with my portion control and to make smarter choices.

The real key? 60 minutes of moderate to intense cardio + occasional weights daily. The adult version of NFL's "Play 60", which is the mantra I've adopted. Accomplish it mostly with sports (racquetball, basketball, tennis) so it doesn't feel like working out.

5'11 175ish. I'm 30. I get a lot of exercise. I play ultimate frisbee 2-3 times a week, mountain bike 1-2 times a week, and go running 1-2 times a week. I usually only have 1 day a week where i dont do any exercise. Id like to lose about 10 pounds but i know i dont eat well enough right now to do so. i dont eat terribly, but i certainly indulge a couple times a week

I'm at 225. Want to get to 210-215. That would take my body fat to under 12--possibly under 10. Not sure i want to be that disciplined nutrition wise. We'll see.

I started working out at the YMCA and they have a tracker called Fitlinxx and I like it, plus I use my fitness pal just to see my calories in front of me. I don't always meet the goal on there and I track nothing on Sunday's even though it is the day I workout the hardest since I am off work. So far since January I am down jeans size, feel better and I had to hook my bras on the last hook. Small changes are better than none. Since February 7, when I got my Fitlinxx number I have lifted 2830 over several machines... Not sure if I spelled Fitlinx right

it is my day off from everything that involves anything like thinking... I don't go out and eat the chocolate factory I just don't do stuff on Sunday. That is my one guaranteed day off work and I simply do stuff with my kid and things I want to do... No thinking no processing

Been holding steady at about 145 lbs. since late November/early December, and I was at 165 or so until mid-October. Started working a lot of hours and the pounds just came off. No, that's not a lot of weight for a guy, but I'm also short as ****. I blame my Asian mother.

I was at 218 after I finished my loss with Insanity. I did X and went from 0 pull ups to 16 and gained back to 228. I've been steady there for quite awhile. I'm 6'5", and think I'm probably where I want to be. I've thought about dropping back down to 218 or even down to 210, but I think that's too thin for my frame.

Yup. Personally, I use the Weight Watchers tracking program (not their food or meetings) and have been running three times per week.

I use Tap&Track on my phone when I want to dial it in a little bit. It's a great app--it has tons of restaurants, grocery store foods, etc so you can get an accurate # of calories entered daily. It also taught me tons about nutrition, and has several exercise types that can give you a decent read on what you're burning.

Good article here on calories and food choices.

Down 66 from my peak weight of 290 in late June. Sitting at 224. Want to be below 200 by July 4th, which seems reasonable. Also on Weight Watchers Online and try and get in 4-5 intense workouts per week, typically 1-2 hours of basketball and racquetball.

Pretty pleased my basketball form has returned. I can actually play defense and be athletic around the boards; wasn't so 7 months ago.

Wife has lost 50 herself doing similar stuff.
