I finally retired from powerlifting. After 15 years of competing, I decided enough was enough. My knee scope two years ago convinced me.
I weighed 228 about five years ago, and competed in the 220s. Last year at the Europa I was competing in the 198 cl****. I'm now 195 and am doing bodybuilding-type routines at Metroflex gym (hardcore, no ac, loud music, loud noises encouraged). I was 193 but am up a few pounds; I am determined to keep my blood pressure down so I started doing cardio 3 or 4x/week. I may substitute the eliptical with pulling or pushing a weighted sled, or doing wind sprints after workout. My goal is 190 lbs. Thanks for reading.

Man the thing that is kinda good kinda sucks about eating better is that when you do have an off day my system is ****ed up

I still eat the same ****ty food for the most part, just less of it. Cut out sodas completely and I do 1,000 crunches a day. Lost 7 pounds these last 3 weeks. But as Bounce said, if I take a couple of days off and get lazy with my routine, I can easily put it back on.

I ran 10 miles last night, my side started hurting and it still hurts.
11.5 lbs in 1 month. That included gaining 3 during my kids bday weekend...still pissed about that. Can I do 10 more before July 6?

I have decided tae bo/ kick boxing is my favorite cardio ..
My weight loss is slowing down, but I am putting on muscle. It's tough not seeing the scale slide down 2-3 lbs a week when I've been doing that for nearly 11 months.
Talk about a ****y thing to whine about.

i was able to go to softball practice last night and for the first time in my life i overran a fly ball...now granted i'm still a very big guy and extremely slow but i've never overshot anything running wise in my life...i'm excite to see the difference in my playing abilities this year compared to the last few years
