I'm just glad this discussion hasn't gone too far afield.![]()
You're absolutely right. I was actually thinking in terms of combat care, but mallen is right.. Way off course.
I'm not trying to say that making you pay for my healthcare is a right thing to do. I don't think obamacare is the right way to fix it either.
If I knew a perfect solution I wouldn't be having this conversation.
My whole argument is that a right is defined by us, and is only as good as we allow it to be. If the government rolled in and voted in some bull **** that added healthcare to the bill of rights.. Then I guess we'd call it a right.
Just the same as losing our rights when we leave this nation. They aren't world wide currency.
Just six years ago, the mantra was that "Bush is brilliant! After all, he graduated from Harvard and Yale!" Now the mantra is "Obama is an idiot (even though he graduated from Columbia and Harvard Law School and was a tenured constitutional law professor at one of the top five law schools -- and one of the most conservative law schools -- in the country)." My, how times have changed.
It's clearly a budget. It's got a lot of numbers in itI think we ought to raise the age at which juveniles can have a gun.We cannot let terrorists hold this nation hostile or hold our allies hostile.Americans are rising to the tasks of history, and they expect the same of us.You teach a child to read, and he or her will be able to p**** a literacy test.I am mindful not only of preserving executive powers for myself, but for predecessors as well.Attempting to defend W's intellect is a lost battle. The legislature's job is to write law. It's the executive branch's job to interpret law.
