2000 against FSU. WSU was over rated when we beat them in the Rose Bowl.

OU's last significant bowl win versus a significant opponent?

We won a Fiesta Bowl 2 years ago.

This. It's the only bowl game win Bob has had, ever, against a significant opponent.

WSU but their QB was not 100% kind of like beating Stanford without Luck...would have to say the FSU win for a MNC was Bobs last big game win...

    "significant" opponent is not UConn.

Are you high? UCONN was a hair above mediocre, and if it hadn't been for some stupid typical mistakes from us that game would have been 48-6.

The last bowl game we won against a team with a pulse was Oregon.

Bowls aren't about finding significant opponents. It is about making money for bowl committees. The last significant bowl we won was the Fiesta Bowl.

    Bowl games are meaningless anyway.

There is no such thing as a meaningless game.

No because total luck struck against Oregon and they didn't have their starting QB. Stoops only wins bowl games when he gets lucky and a key cog of the other team's offense can't play. Just like FSU in 2000 with Minnis out.

Stanford wasn't bad, but it's got to be Oregon

I remember making fun of Texas and their Holiday Bowl trips. Now we are arguing that is the best win we've had in a bowl game in over a decade. Hmmmmm.

    Sun Bowl?

  26. #26
If it was Oregon then our last significant bowl win came with Bomar as our QB. I vote WSU just because of Hybl.

Stoops got very fortunate and won a big one 12 years ago. It was an anomaly. The guy is soft and a terrible game preparer. We will always lose until we get rid of the losers. K
