What are you smoking? Program wise, Auburn is way better, light years better, than Arkansas. Auburn won 3 SEC titles with Tubs and won an NC just a few years ago. Arkansas has never won the SEC. Ole Miss and Miss State are about the same as Arkansas but all 3 are not great programs.

I think we beat Texas, KSU but lose to Baylor and go 8-4 but I agree with the rest

    Worst program in 2012 then.

Unlike this season, which was expected with Nick Florence, Baylor doesn't have a legitimate replacement QB for next season.

Defense should be better. Mike's guys are going to have another year--and we're hopefully changing the kind of kids that look at OU. Brent's philosophy was smallish LBs, so the big nasty guys weren't looking at OU. That will probably change since the bigger guy is who Mike likes. The secondary was greatly improved--if we can field a lineman or 2 that can at least get a hint of pressure, we're going to be a lot better b/c it will take pressure off all other areas of the defense.

On offense, having mobility at the qb position makes your line better. Escapability and the threat of the qb taking off makes everyone on the defensive side of the ball more careful and requires them staying home a lot more. I'm expecting a pleasant surprise for many of you improvement wise next year.

Um Baylor's system is good enough to keep getting QBs. We couldn't even stop OSU's 3rd team QB this year.

I think we beat Texas too ... that said, first-year QBs are a crapshoot. I thought 8-4 wasn't cynical enough. ;-)

Defense couldn't be much worse really. If we are an average defense next year that is much better. Still nowhere near our standards.

1- I expected this kind of success from Nick but it's far from what the conventional wisdom was in pre-season. Most people wrote us off without RG3.

2- We'll see how Petty and/or Russell do. Each has the arm, speed, and size. Down to down decisions and accuracy are an unknown. Will they be another young QB that catches fire from day 1 like Bradford or one who.... doesn't like Gilbert? Time will tell and BU should have a very solid line and skill talent around the player.

3- Question for the Sooners here, what is everyone's opinion on Bell's accuracy? In all the time he has been the "bell-dozer" I haven't seen him throw more than 1-2 passes.

Well OSU is a unique case of having 3 good ones. Also that guy is #1 now despite technically starting off as #3. Kinda like how Jason White started as the backup in 2001 then became the guy.

This and his decision making are the million dollar questions. I'll step out on a mini-limb and say he's accurate or he wouldn't be #2 on the depth chart. Decision making? He seems to have it in the limited action we've seen--he's not forced throws and he's patient. He can read where the holes are opening on the line and has the nerves to wait, but we're not going to really know until it's running wide open.

Your explanation 100% applies to likely BU replacement Bryce Petty. Big arm and good speed at 6'3 235 but little is proven thus far.

I would say that's pretty spot on. 8-4 to 7-5 is fair.

If the success of this program next year and beyond is dependent on Blake Bell or Trevor Knight having the same throwing accuracy as Sam Bradford, I am going to jump in Lake Erie and sink along with this football program.
