SandRidge Energy is laying folks off today. Well over 30 people have been let go, including my wife. They are just systematically moving throughout the buildings, letting people know. Managers say they are given zero warning. None of the people let go today had any idea it was about to happen. Ugh.

Zero warning always sucks. Is there some sort of severance? At least when I worked at Lucent we pretty much knew it was coming and got six months pay/benefits.
Gonna see much more of this with Obama care!!! Don't say you weren't warned! Hope & change!!!

So, judging by the threads today we show mostly respect for death of close friends, not death in general but when a spouse gets laid off its a **** storm. Quality.

And as far as Obama being the cause...I don't think so, but I could be wrong. We recently sold our interest in the Permian, prompting a pretty substantial (60+ and counting) reorganization. She just didn't survive for whatever reason.
She has a really good line on a couple places, so she should be good.
