Everybody who follows Oklahoma football relatively close can see whats happening. JB just said what everybody else has said. Stoops, like all coaches, won't listen to fans and media. But maybe he'll listen to his former players and other former Sooners such as Spencer Tillman. Tillman called out Stoops and the staff the other night after the game. Even though Spencer wasn't a former player under Stoops, he knows how to win championships... back when we actually played legit defense and knew how to run the football.

damn ... i didnt know wilson was such an "in your face" coach. he also made a good point about the "culture" of the program. pretty much translated to 'we're soft, quit patting yourself on the back, we had are hardest practice after beating atm 77-0 blah blah blah ..'.

I would be okay with a couple of 8-5 seasons if it meant that Bob stoops roots out all the prima donnas and the players who Aren't willing to put in the Hard work. Root out the unqualified coaches as well.

Hopefully other players will start speaking out similarly.
Unfortunately it’s probably the only way we see needed changes…

Boren has so much control of things; he should not totally escape the criticism.

this is where it gets confusing ... is that what we are going through now with Heupel and M Stoops (a rebuilding period); causing is we shit can some coaches and go through a couple 8-5 seasons, wouldn't people be mad at the way we lost those 5 games just like we are mad now?

I'd rather lose the national championship game then not even play in it because I lost to Kansas State and Notre Dame. And then go to the Cotton Bowl and get smashed by the Aggies. I'd rather get my ass kicked in the national championship game than the cotton bowl.

Teachers in large public schools of the type where many of our players come from have told me many times that there has been a huge decline just in the past 5 years in the kids desire to work hard and to be somebody.
Kids tell teachers all the time that they know the Government will take care of them so they don’t need to study or work hard.

We need to better evaluate our prospect and well beyond their athletic abilities.

    The correct answer is ...

    *

A team that cheated had their championship taken away for cheating.

Telling interviews with Brown and Spencer Tillman today.

Basically, to recap, Brown says we have a bunch inflated-ego pussies playing for us that would have gotten their asses kicked by most OU teams.

Tillman says you gotta fire, as president, AD or head coach, who you gotta fire to get OU back to the top.

I thought they were both spot on.

The work ethic of the kids is so different than in years past. Between helicopter parents, re-testing to get a passing grade, social promotions rather than earned promotions.... these kids have no concept of failure and what to do to deal with it, how to get better, how to give their best. I am seriously worried about these kids.

So players are verbally sparring with fans, fans are fighting amongst themselves and former players are calling the program into question. In the meantime, Alabama is collecting NCs like they're baseball cards.

Not the same. How many of those co-championships consisted of a loss to the team we were tied with? When OU and KSU finish with identical 8-1 records and KSU won the head to head, that is simply not a championship in my opinion. I know what conference rules say, and I know what our hypocritical head coach says, but does it feel like OU won a conference championship this year? The same as it did in 2010 or 2008, etc.? Didn't think so.
