were all pretty damn good.
One was co-champion of the Big-12 and played in a BCS bowl.
One played in the BCS Championship game.
One was the only team to beat the eventual champion.
Our losses really weren't that bad in hindsight.

The games we lost, we looked horrible.
In some we barely won, we looked horrible.
Consistently giving up 500, 600 yards plus? We could have played most teams in the top ten and been ran off the field.
In hindsight I'd say we are in big trouble.

Not bashing stinger but this is the mentality stoops has these days. When we lose, he always tries to justify the loss by giving stats and records. Back in the day, you could tell a loss pissed him off to no end. And if you were playing ou after a loss, you knew you were in for an **** beating. Stoops needs to quit being okay with losing to "good" teams.

Two of the three got blown out in their bowl.

If the OP is actually Mrs. Stoops. I apologize for breaking into you castle and dropping a ' hot carl' on your chest.
I wouldn't Bob but he was in his Entertainment/Movie room watching a "Muppet Christmas"
Oh and those losses .... Each and every one. We looked like 3 monkeys ****g a football. Save it
OU lost those three games because they cannot defend any QB that has any running ability at all. OU lost those three games because they cannot play against a team that has any kind of defensive ability at all. OU almost lost three games because those three teams either had a QB with running ability....the team played their WR at RB and totally baffled OU...or the team had some defensive ability.
ND....weak schedule and refs made their season
ksu....a pretty one dimensional team when you get down to it...but they play decent defense...except against oregon...and Baylor
aTm is the only team that you could argue was a pretty good team but it only took their qb to beat OU
sorry to bring storm clouds.........actually, i'm not sorry at all![]()
What about the three teams we almost lost to?
One of them blew out a B1G bottom feeder that was only bowl eligible because they played E. Kentucky. E. Michigan, and Marshall.
One of them lost by a point to the Missouri of the B1G.
One of them got blown out of the stadium by (cough) Syracuse.
Sorry, the 2 teams that beat us in the regular season were just **** on in their bowl games.
yay are only losses are against good teams... you sound like an **** clown
This is OU we are talkin about, they have no business losing to every good team they play
I rarely expect them to win them all, but to look like **** against every exceptional team they play is not encouraging to me. Is it to you?
The record looks good, but the product on the field, not so much.
I'll bash Stinger, you stupid, worthless, no good, ****, freeloading son of a ****, ****ed, big mouth, know-it-all, ****hole, jerk.
DON'T BE HAPPY TO LOSE TO ANYONE. YOU UNDERSTAND ME YOU SAUDI ARABIAN **** FOR BRAINS!
count me in the not happy with our losses:
KSU got dey **** whipped against Oregon
ND got day **** whipped against Bama
TA&M whooped dat Sooner ****
KSU got blown out by Baylor
A&M gave up 57 to La Tech, we scored 13
ND should have lost to Purdue, a team OSU throttled...did lose to Stanford IMO (refs hated ND that day apparently, maybe Gordon Riese was in the booth)
ND pushed us around all night on the LOS, just think what Bama would have done to us. Their starters would be on the sidelines watching the 2nd stringers whoop our **** by halftime.
the state of the program needs some serious addressing, I'm not happy with the status quo and can't look at anything half full b/c I think it's more than half empty

Question, other than Florida State in 2000 and maybe a Texas game, have we ever won when we w
ere the underdogs? We have lost a crap load when we were favorites.
let me answer your question with a question
How often are we the underdog? Hmm... not very often in the past decade or so, i would ****ume on average around once a year.
And when youre the underdog, its for a reason.
Very silly question imo but then again i dont understand why youre asking
Sorry, not buying it. Beating 10 average to below average teams does not make a successful season.

Say what you want, but not beating KSU and ND may have kept us from having another embarrassing moment in a Championship game....from what I saw last night, Bama would have handed us our collective ****es and made the 2004 Championship game look like a close one.
I hope one day Oklahoma returns to judging itself by how many elite teams with Heisman candidates they curb stomped during the season.
I think we were underdogs in the 05 Holiday Bowl against Oregon. Oregon was snubbed by the BCS (BCS #5) and OU (BCS #23) won 17-14. I don't know the line but the Ducks were 10-1 and the Sooners were 7-4 so I have to believe we were dogs. So long ago. Not a great team, but they fought their **** off, I'll give them that.
Let's get this straight.
ONE WAS THE BIG XII CHAMPION.
End of discussion.
Extrapolate much?
I didn't say anything about our chances of ever winning another national championship.
I'm saying that the losses we suffered, relatively speaking, weren't that bad. For example, the losses to Tech and Baylor last year were much worse.
So, in fact, we improved from 2011 to 2012. When you show improvement on your job, isn't your boss happy?

Difference(s) between OU and Bama's expectations:
1 OU is content with losing 3 gms
2 Bama is pissed that they didn't shut out ND.
We gave up 2500 rushing yards this season...
There is no reason to pump sunshine when your defense allows 192 rushing yards per game.
Okay sure. All of our losses were to good teams. I'd be fine with that if all of our wins weren't against bad teams.
