Not a big wingtip fan, especially for someone your age (presuming you're sub-40). A longwing would be more age-appropriate. I prefer Alden over AE, but AE's quality/$ ratio is pretty much unbeatable. I like fun socks, but have never been an argyle fan. The tie is too dressy for the camel hair coat; it is definitely a suit-y tie. Also, you do come across as a douche when making it a point to say "casual Thursday" with a white oxford on an OU football off-topic board. If you were on a fashion/style board, it would a different thing altogether.

All that said, I like most of your looks and think it's great you're making an effort when 80% of guys couldn't give three ****s. I agree with many of your thoughts, but that doesn't mean you need to talk down to the guys here who don't share your interest in fashion. If you come across in person as even a fraction of how you come across here, you are "that guy" at the office.

Thanks. I was thinking about the tie when I took it off yesterday and realized a repp stripe would have been more appropriate.

I like argyle, it is a nice mix of fun and classic in my experience.

Wingtips are the bomb, I like long wings too, and will probably pick some up here in a month or two. They may be grandpa shoes, but they will be in style forever. And the shell cordovan lasts forever with simple care.
