I will nay be participating in any game thread. I have dinner plans with a woman I am seeing and our mutual friends this evening before the debauchery of my actual birthday party tomorrow night. I intend to watch the game on DVR provided I survive. Therefore there is no need to invoke my name about how I'm not in your **** love thread, 87.

Leading 23-20 Tech hanging around
@lukemcconnell1
Sooners up 26-22 at the under four TV timeout. Shooting just 10-of-28 from the field.
Bad shooting night
Way too many turnovers combined with poor shooting are making this a tight ball game
sloppy game...
everyone is thinking about kstate
HALFTIME: Oklahoma 34, Texas Tech 29. Half

Four Sooners in double digits. 66-54 7:00
C'mon Guys close her out
Kruger coaches like he played - The Silent ****assin. We can work the refs and they don't even know it.
Osby having him a good game In the Double Bonus now
They're playing much smarter than earlier in the year. I can remember games they had the lead and just kept coming down and gunning it. They just had a break and Pledger pulled it out.
3-0 in Big12 play. Will take
We have an Arent sighting.
buddy/oz/and fitz did some nice things tonite....
great to see fitz find his shot...
buddy continues to impress.....he is going to be a great player before he's done....wow...he filled up the stat sheet tonite..
tech played us tougher than i thought they would.....gonna be a tuff game in lubbock....but that's a game we need to win...
the bad.....
mbaye was a turnover machine tonight..
hornbeak needs to stay out of foul trouble...
pledger still seems to be struggling a bit......or maybe lon has just adjusted his role a bit since buddy is playing so well....
seemed like we got outrebounded......tech got too many second chance shots...
will need to play much better to beat kstate...

Was in a meeting during the game. I was able to watch some of it on ESPN3 on my laptop but couldn't post. In general it looked like we took care of business like we should against a team like TT. Still going with cautious optimism but really like the way this team plays. I just have more confidence because Kruger is our coach. Not trying to diss Capel, but I never feel like we're going to get out coached now and always have a chance to win, despite the level of talent.
not sure what point you think i was trying to make...
but it is not "way too early" to refer to conference standings....
6 out of our next 7 games are against teams currently in the top half of the conference....
many would prolly predict we go 0-6 in those games.....
realistically.....1-5 would prolly not be a bad outcome....
i think we can win 2......3-3 would be tremendous...
this stretch will be an opportunity to show how good we are against the better teams in the conference....but it's going to be a meatgrinder....4 of those 6 games are on the road....
The 2nd chance shots that Taco tech had are definitely a concern going forward. There were times when that foreign dude would run from the 3 point line and get the offensive rebound right under the basket. Fortunately, our guards have been getting quite a few steals and easy buckets.
I went last night... pretty weak crowd. Not that unusual though, considering Tech sucks and there was a Thunder game and its OU basketball early in the season.
Kruger has our guys getting after it on defense. Offensively, they look young and dumb at times. I don't know how many possessions there were where Pledger didn't even touch the ball, and Osby didn't either. When they did get it to Osby, he was getting to the rim at will. Fitzgerald had a solid game. It was one of those games we should have been up 12-16 pts the whole time, but instead we were up 5-8 pts because we wasted lots of possessions. That will get us beat against good teams.
Tech was similar on offense. Their center was getting to the rim, but they didn't go to him nearly enough imo. Bobby Knight would have blown a fuse if he was coaching them.
All in all, another solid win for a young team, though. Keep winning these that we should, sneak one or two upsets in, and take our lumps when we play the good teams like Kansas. Fortunately, I think Kansas is really looking like the only really good team in our league this year. I don't think its a stretch for OU to get in the top 4 with the start to the conference season we've had. I think to realistically get in the tournament, we need to get to 5th at least. Not sure if the big XII will get 6 in the tourney this year, but its still early. #5 and #6 are OSU and ISU right now, I could see ISU dropping off the bubble by the end of the regular season. We need to stay on the other side of that coin.
Also the loss to SFA a couple weeks ago isn't looking so bad... they are dominating their conference and have just one loss to Arkansas on their schedule.

it's amazing the difference between the first 9 games and the last 6 games...
he was out of control and a turnover waiting to happen.....
now he looks nothing like a freshman....he's making good decisions and the guy just never stops hustling.....and he takes care of the ball...
hollis was a great player and seemed like a great person too....
i really think buddy is more physically gifted....he seems like a very good leader too...
i think we will definitely be comparing buddy to hollis the next four years......
the nice thing about this year......i believe only one of those 6 games is not winnable.......
i believe we have a shot to win the other 5.....not a great shot.....but still a shot....
i think we can beat ku in norman.....and we should be competitive on the road against baylor/kstate/iowa st..
not at all.....
withey will be a tough matchup inside no doubt.....but i'm confident lon will come up with a good plan to slow him down...
i have great confidence in our perimeter defense......let buddy guard mclemore and i think we'll be fine if we can get some shots to fall....
Last year we were up on Kansas by a point at half. They tore us up in the second cause we had no relief on the bench. This team is significantly better than last year...
