Someone is saying that this person could never be found b/c it was her "professional" name. Here's the quote, "Erm, that's because she was registered under her real name, Lennay Marie Wochinski. Lennay Marie Kekua was her professional name."
She wrote me a 'john-deere' letter... something about me not listening enough; I don't know... I wasn't really paying attention.

I basically did. I'm wondering about how Te'o got caught up in it. It wasn't his idea initially, right? I got confused about Tuiasasopo part. Did he catfish his friend, and then the thing blew up? Or did he contact Manti with the whole plan in mind.
A Lexis Nexis search for Lennay Wochinski in California turns up zero results. Person does not exist.
Well, why would it even occur to them to check up on it? I mean, who the **** makes up dead cancer girlfriends?

Someone on Deadspin wrote this and I though this is where it was going:

The media has powerful background checking tools at their disposal. Major outlets do, anyway. It took me under 60 seconds just now to confirm "Lennay Wochinski" in California almost certainly doesn't exist. Well, either she doesn't exist or never lived in California. Either one.
it's CRAZY they don't routinely check these stories! Holy hell, but it sure is fun when they miss something.
Edit: just picking up that Wochinski might be a reference to Seinfeld. BUT NEVERTHELESS, even I looked up that name in like a minute!!!
