My basset Mabel had puppies & her nips were the first things to change. Basset hounds, btw, are hi-larious pregnant dogs.
Really suprised this thread has lasted this long without someone asking to sees belly and nipples.

Take a box cutter and slit the dogs belly open. If you see tiny dog looking fetuses, then the dog was pregnant.
If you don't see them then the dog was not pregnant.
You'll probably have to get a new dog.
