Norvell is the only OU coach subject to serious "he's leaving" rumors. Oh sure, there was silliness about Cale going to his brother Gundy, and people used to speculate about Bob Stoops going elsewhere (the older ones among us will remember this), and--trust me, I'm serious--some posters on this board once worried that Coach Josh Heupel would be snatched up by a (here again, I'm serious) football program. Cale Gundy is more than qualified, but he isn't leaving, and Jay Norvell is the best OC we have (to say the least). That he isn't leaving is great, promising news.

Norvell seems the most logical choice for hc in waiting.
