Specifically, I was perusing the wares at the Pawn Shop yesterday, and they had a counterfeit Breitling Bentley Chronograph for thirty bucks.
It is pretty close to the watch I have always coveted, although the build quality is not nearly that of a genuine piece, it is aesthetically identical.
Considering that an actual model would cost just over $7000, would you consider buying one for thirty bucks?
**** yeah I would. When I'm at conventions or near big wigs, I wear my fake Rolex watch. Nobody is going to examine it that closely like I'm a ****ing newlywed chick showing my ring to my girlfriends.
I wouldn't touch it with my ****.

depends on what it is and how much it costs. when i was in college i rocked a knock-off rolex daytona, cost me $20. everything was fine until i got drunk on the boat in the bahamas and dove in the water. it rusted nearly instantly.

I stuck a Gibson sticker over the Epiphone logo, no one knows.
I've owned counterfeit stuff in the past (when I was poor.) Now, I wouldn't do it. If I don't want to spend the actual money for something, I don't want to put on airs like I have spent the actual money for something.

Generally, I would feel this way. I was going to buy a seiko for around 300, but if I can get this watch (it does have some quality) for less than a Timex, I'm thinking about going for it. It really has nothing to do with impressing others.

I can see that sentiment too, and generally I would agree. I just don't see how a third hand or perhaps fourth hand purchase moves the needle with respect to the support given those that perpetrated the fraud.

I kind of stated my stance on this above, but to reiterate, I don't see how purchasing this well down the chain interferes with Breitling's bottom line.
Anyway, I just bought it...will post pics when I get back.

Then what is it? The watch isn't that unique in appearance. There are several others that look similar. The thing that draws you to it is that it's a $6k watch, and the status that accompanies that.

Again, no, it really isn't. there are no similar watches (I have looked extensively, as I am a tireless seeker of bargains and a frequent second guesser on such purchases) in the thirty dollar range. Here are the pictures: If it had even been $300 i would have passed. After inspecting it, i found it comparable to about a $200-$300 watch. It has a fully funtioning chrono and a pretty decent self winding action.
So it's a sock watch?

Lol. Somehow I knew this was coming.
Light was becoming a factor and had to rig something pretty quickly. Hard to get a decent shot of it on the arm.
That looks like a counterfeit, thirty dollar watch to me.

I was in Hong Kong and bought a Rolex and a Breitling for $30 each. Looks good. I will eventually buy a full priced Brietling. They are incredible watches.

This was, admittedly, my main struggle. However, I do not intend to p**** it off as legitimate under any circumstance. It was simply the most watch I could get for the money.
I almost had **** with a girl that looked just like Kate Upton, but I couldn't do it, it just wasn't the real thing.
I think the same girl came over to wash my counterfeit Mercedes...

maybe I'm poor, or stoned, but I guess I can't tell the difference between a 50 dollar watch and a 5000 dollar watch. You still only have to know what time it is. And for what it's worth, I wouldn't have paid 50 for that watch to much **** going on in there.
