Haven't been to Taos in years. My boss is from New Mexico and he always brings me back some green chile so I can make real enchiladas and superior tasting food.
Also, to comment on the OP, is anyone at this point surprised by what the right is capable of attempting to legislate?

We need to try it again but for have the words green chili in its name, it seemed kinda bland. But the chicken was really fresh and good

I love steak, but all-around, New Mexico has the best food I've ever had.
The ****tier-looking the "restaurant", the better the food.

OOO, sorry I just had to interject a bit here on NM. My dad ranched for a while at Vermejo Park which was at the time owned by penzoil, I guess (now owned by Ted Turner), this was when he was a fairly young man. Had been logging up in Montana, then drove truck in the Pacific Northwest mainly, but also all over the place. Obviously this was all before he moved to AK.
He always said the green chilies in NM were so delicious, he could eat them on everything. To this day he orders poblanos and even jalapeños from a family he met nearly 40 years ago and cooks them up with whatever he can. My favorite is when he makes "green chili burgers" with some special topping of the peppers he puts on the burgers. It's AMAZING.
For those of you that haven't spent time in New Mexico, I recommend giving it a look. It is a beautiful part of the country and the trip can be done very inexpensively.
Also, everyone come to Alaska sometime. I'll buy you a beer or 4!

We are going up to Denver in a couple of weeks. Any good spots to eat if we go the new mexico route?
"It has been estimated that 50 percent of all human conceptions end in spontaneous abortion, usually without a woman even realizing that she was pregnant. In fact, 20 percent of all recognized pregnancies end in miscarriage. There is an obvious truth here that cries out for acknowledgment: if God exists, He is the most prolific abortionist of all.”

If God exists, then he's also the most prolific in making people drown, fall off cliffs, die in car crashes and get struck by lightning.
Believing in God doesn't justify society in deliberately holding people under water, pushing them off cliffs, bleeding their brakes or electrocuting them. Likewise just because accidental miscarriages happen doesn't mean it's okay to kill an innocent human being when she's small, defenseless and in the way.

wait who is killing full term babies, I have a problem with them as well... but not abortion up to as I have stated 100 or more times 8-10 weeks but in cases of **** and incest **** I could certainly extend that if the mom felt she would have a problem raising the baby. Those choices are for the women.

Tomasita's in Santa Fe, Garduno's Albuquerque. These are the more touristy but still good. Like someone said upstream; hole in walls are usually the best. There is a pretty good one in Clayton, can't think for the life of me the name though. Near downtown, on the main highway.
There was a spot in tucumcari that was really good (25 years ago). Think it was called the silver moon...

If you're going to Denver from OK, then I'm guessing you'll go the Amarillo-Dalhart-Clayton-Raton-Denver route. Sadly this means you'll byp**** all the good food (I wasn't aware of a good place in Clayton). But if you go through Albucrackie, hit up Garduno's. There are a few of them. As BBS said, it's a little touristy... but it's still damn good food. I'm still surprised at how good it is.
