    Drew Allen is gone

According to SoonerScoop he will sit out the spring and transfer after he graduates in May, making him eligible to play right away.

Wish him nothing but the best and thanks for his time as a sooner.

I don't blame him. Hopefully he finds himself at a good program as a starter.

From all accounts I've read he's been a great teammate and representative. Good luck. Try Wisconsin.

I've said it before, but he has been nothing but cl****. Represented the university and program well. Consummate professional. I wish him nothing but the best of luck.

I'm suprised it has taken this long for the announcement.

Me too, apparently he hasn't decided on a school yet but they said it sounds like he'll decide with in the next month.

Maybe he could have played LB.

But seriously, best of luck wherever he goes.

Good guy, wish him the best. He was talented enough to start and succeed at OU, just bad timing. Wisconsin seems to be a great place to land for one-year starters these days.

I'd think Washington State would be a good option. I'm not sure what Leach has coming back for QB.

The guy that was recruiting him to Purdue is now the OC / QB coach at Kent St. They are losing their senior QB. Could be a good fit at a very good MAC program.

That would be great for him. I think it just big enough to get him some late season national exposure and Flacco his way into the NFL.

Perhaps with the Badgers having a new coaching staff it would be more appropriate to say Wisconsin was a great place for one year QB transfers to land. Who knows about the future.

Who knows but I can say they have no returning starter and the other QBs on the bench aren't good enough to even give a chance at starting the past 2 years.

You serious, Clark? Tom Brady played quite a bit more than "barely." Those of us who actually watched Michigan play then would see him march the Wolverines up and down the field quite frequently.

Regardless, good luck to Drew. Hopefully his chance somewhere else works out great for him.

I think he meant the "Matt Cassel of OU football."

Interesting. Is there any kind of transfer rules that Stoops would have to block something like that when dealing with a graduated player? I don't think there are.

So only 3 scholarship QB's to throw balls this spring? Bell, Thompson and Knight. Need at least 2 good walk-ons to get everyone reps.

Doesn't look like he is offically leaving yet. Looks like he just wants to look at his options.
Drew Allen ‏@DrewAllen1 For the record: I have a permission to contact form that allows me to look around, talk to other schools. Doesn't mean I am transferring yet
