I need to go back and read it again, but didn't the books also mention something about her being placed in exile for a couple of years to make sure she didn't have Robb's kid? Which would've effectively removed her from the main story line.

In the books, when Cat first meets her, she goes on and on about how she has wide hips that are good for child baring. Then, in Book 4 when Jaime meets her and her mother, he describes the girl as having narrow hips. This seemed like foreshadowing for the one presented to Jaime actually being an imposter, and the real one was hidden away somewhere. Seemed pretty random to just have the only two characters who describer her phsyical appearance say the exact opposite thing about her. But it looks like it was just overanalysing by the fans, and it's not going to be a plot point going down the road.

I started watching before I started reading (by reading I mean listening to the audio books to make the time p**** at work). I stopped on chapter 18 Book five today. So far book five is running side by side with book four. I think season 5 and 6 of the show, will be parts from both books.

P.S. if they do it right next season should be bad****.

It will have to be. HBO would lose a LOT of viewers if half of the characters were totally missing from each of those seasons.

Her bit about Lyanna Stark is very interesting. Either I don't remember that from the first book, or all that comes from another POV character in a future book I haven't read yet. It does make the theory that Rhager Targeryn and Lyanna Stark are Jon Snow's true parents very plausible. If so, I just wonder why Ned would never tell the truth to Catelyn after all their years of marriage? Certainly that would have quelled some of the fire of negativity that Catelyn held towards Jon.

I mean, I don't feel like there's anyway Ned is Jon's dad. He's the super most honest and noble guy of all time, to the point of his own demise, yet he cheated on his wife? That's a pretty glaring immoral action from Mr. Ethics.

Also he couldn't take the chance that Catelyn would start treating him differently. It would have been obvious to the wrong people, if she began to show less disdain for Jon. Remember, there are spies everywhere in Westeros.
