Football On The North Slope Of Alask****

Hope nobody minds if I put this here. It's not OU Football related, but it is about football. It just didn't seem to fit in OC so I thought I would put it here. If the powers that be think it needs to be moved, then by all means move it. Thanks!

I just found this cool video a few weeks ago and wanted to share it. The audio doesn't seem to match up real well but I think part of that may be because some of it is being translated, not sure. Anyway, these guys are playing because of their true love of the game! I saw another video about high school football in Barrow AK a couple of years ago but I can't find it now......or heck, I guess I could have seen it on TV, don't really remember. But in the other video they showed where they had a few sharpshooters (dad's of the players) stationed around the field with high powered rifles during the game. You guessed it, they were on polar bear watch. High School Football on the North Slope...it doesn't get much more hard-core than that. Hope y'all enjoy!

They started playing football in Barrow in 2006, I believe. They now have a nice turf field.

not sure what CPF1 is. It's all the same place to me, but he's specified Kaparuk as where he flies in to. He works for Alyeska, at Pump Station 1.

edit: maybe I'm getting Kaparuk mixed up with another name??
