Thinking of going this year. Anyone else been? Any recommendations on what to do, where to stay? Are the premium packages at derbyexperiences.com worth it?

I can't give you many details as my times there were in the days of my misspent yute. I can tell you that's it's as good of a time as you'll ever have. It's really not what I would consider a sporting event. There's so much going on you forget about the race. Lot's of food, drinkling, parties, and of course women.

The best place to stay is The Galt House downtown. It's also where a lot of the celebrities stay, and so it's a great place to people watch. There is an excellent steakhouse in the same building, but I don't remember the name. That steakhouse became one of my all time favorite places about ten years ago when they refused to serve OJ Simpson.

Louisville has a little club, restaurant, music scene just a couple of blocks from the Galt House called 4th Street Live.

I was just about to ask him if this trip was to consumate his love with Nole.

I know a skinny chick that will blow you in a public restroom that lives in Louisville.

Were you mistreated when you competed? Still bitter about your losses at Remington Park?

In my late twenties I was molested by a jockey.

That's pretty old for a horse. You should be thankful someone was still interested.

Although horse racing is high society's version of dog fighting, I do like a few things about the Kentucky Derby.

Head north towards Cincinnati and eat Skyline Chili.

You'll never look at chili the same again. It's freaking awesome.

Isn't that the place that makes it in six layers?

Whether you like Skyline spaghetti sauce or not, please don't call it chili.

It's absolutely chili. Maybe not the way people in the south know it, but it's chili.

They have a 3 way, which is chili, cheese, and spaghetti. A 4 way with the same and either beans or onions, and a 5 way with everything. Then they have mini dogs that are the bomb.

I saw that place on DDD. My stomach says yes but my bypasses say no.

I have some family in Lexington and have been there a bunch. I've only been to Louisville a few times. I've been to Churchill Downs and its really cool. I've never been to the derby but I have always wanted to go. I hear the infield is pretty fun. You cant see much but its a bunch of people getting **** faced! The Louisville Slugger factory is pretty cool. If you have time you should hit that up. Also, you need to get a Hot Brown. They have them at a bunch of restaurants in KY but it originated at the Brown Hotel. They are awesome! Its an artery clogging instant heart attack, but it is ****ing good!
