Congratulations Secretary Kerry. Don't **** it up.

John Cornyn, Ted Cruz, and Jim Inhofe can all go **** themselves.

He can't be much worse than the last one. Almost every spot in the world is a disaster so he can't **** them up more. And he despises the military as well as many parts of our country so he's the perfect choice of the left. And he's about as rich as Romney is.

Meaning she needs to dry out.

I think if I was a Senator I would still rather be called Senator Kerry than Secretary Kerry, has kind of a feminine flair to it.

The State Department has now become the most boring structure in the land (aside from Al Gores house, of course).

I guess we'll be at war with half of Africa next.

He is richer than Romney. If you are looking at household net worth.

I think he's close even without marrying and dying wives.

Surprised 3XV hasn't started a thread jerking off Hagel. That disaster makes Kerry look like the diplomat of the year.

Because he's a pub himself? The guy's voting record is even more libertarian than many of the current Senate GOP.

He's a pub in name only. Obama wouldn't be promoting him if he was any sort of a Republican.

    Senate voting record
According to David Boaz, during the Bush administration, Hagel maintained a "traditionally Republican" voting record, receiving "a lifetime rating of 84 percent from the American Conservative Union and consistent A and B grades from the National Taxpayers Union."[21] On the Issues describes Hagel as a "libertarian-leaning conservative."[22] According to Boaz, among his most notable votes, Hagel:
    Voted for the Patriot Act[23]
Voted for the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts[24][25]
Voted against No Child Left Behind[26]
Voted against Bush’s Medicare prescription drug bill[27]
    Voted against McCain-Feingold[28]
He sure as hell ain't a lib.

He's not a pub...not even a rino. He burned his bridges with the pubs, politically. He made statements that turned out to be absolutely wrong and he tried to be as damaging to W as possible. The pubs owe him nothing If I was a pub senator then I would much rather vote for a dem than hagel.

That said, I suspect he will be confirmed.

Obama could nominate Jim Inhofe to run the epa and the pubs would shit all over inhofe. They have no substance, just do the opposite of what Obama wants.

Except for Texoma, Kerry walked through with flying colors. Hagel is another matter though.

BHO only nominates people he can put in these positions and pull their strings. Inhofe would never do that. Plus, he wouldn't have anything to do with BHO's corrupt and totally useless EPA.

Maybe if Obama didn't do something that has failure all over it they might support him.

And speaking of puppets, look at your reaction to the vote in your OP. Nice job, Pinocchio.

I kinda like Hagel honestly. He doesn't seem like he would be all that bad, but he's not going to do much different from what the main guy wants which is to continue with the Bush style tactics all over the world.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he support Owebama in 2008? No wonder Juan put his ass on blast yesterday.

John Kerry's worthless. He's the only poli tic I consider to be more boring to listen to than Al Gore.
