Why offer a juco guard? Unless we don't feel like Evans and kasitati will be healthy enough. I know he'll add much needed depth and a run block mentality. But who is the underclassmen guards besides shead and nila.
2014 rotation would be shead. Nila and savage.
He'll be moved to tight end.
If OU runs a 3-4 he should play NG..

What is this about "replacing Shead"??
Based on the limited reading provided (inserted below), sounds like there might be something brewing with Adam Shead. Of course, it could also be a marketing ploy (the header says "Savage replaces Shead?"). Either way, take this for what it's worth:
With a less than one week to go until National Signing Day, Oklahoma found themselves, on Tuesday, offering a prospect that is from a familiar place in Dionte Savage out of Yuma (Ariz.) Arizona Western C.C. The offer to the 6-foot-5 and 345-pound guard prospect, who is committed to Baylor comes as a surprise with the Sooners returning multiple players at the position including last year's starters in Adam Shead and Bronson Irwin as well as former starter Tyler Evans.
Sophomore guard, Nila Kasitati will be returning from a major knee injury so could that be the reason for the offer, to shore up a two-man rotation at each guard spot?
Doesn't sound so, instead it sounds like the Sooners may have bigger issues on their hands. "My coach told me that they have been trying to get in touch with me these last few days but I have been on visits," Savage stated. "I went to (Texas) Tech this past weekend and I went to Kansas this weekend too. I really just flew in this morning. He got in contact with me today, coach (Josh) Heupel got in contact with me today and talked to me about coming to block for Damien (Williams) again because I blocked for him here in 2010.
Adam Shead has a lingering back injury and may require surgery. Nothing to panic about but something to keep an eye on this spring.
If he signs with us, that's going to be his nickname: "IHOP". Well done, pillmanj. That ****'s funny. But I bet Savage's ****s aren't funny. He literally looks like he could **** an IHOP.

Good visit. Did not commit. Seems to be a theme this yr. Good visit, goes elsewhere. Between OU & Baylor. Not sure he comes here.
This is the best thing I have seen to describe recruiting this year, guys have good visits and it seemed almost immediately committed elsewhere. Can't wait for this recruiting cl**** to end, it has been on the whole one big cluster f.
He was always going to go home and think it over though. Its what he told the coaches
He said he could decide as soon as tonight. He's down to us and Baylor, and that the visit really complicated his commitment to Baylor. The last part is paraphrased slightly. But it sounds really good for us. He said he wouldn't mind blocking for Damien again.

None that I have seen. There are several teasers some of the pay sites were tweeting earlier. My guess is he wants to wait until signing day to announce.
