Who would you take? I'd take OU 21-14. What does everybody else think?

I don't think we would win that game. The biggest positive would be there is no Sproles to light our ****es up but it would be a really tough matchup. I think we come up short by the same score we did to LSU. 21-14
Also, recall White was hurt against KSU heading to the game with LSU. He wasn't the same QB the last 2 games as he was the 12 before that
I was ****uming both teams would be in midseason form with my prediction. If it was a bowl game, I'd pick bama by ten due to White being hurt and the fact that Nick Saban would have a month to prepare.
in that case I'd say we were rolling and would have won to the tune of 24-14...just thinking of the timing with playing Bama and it would have had to be in the title game but under the scenario you're mentioning now I'd say we win
once we found out Mike was leaving, the team wasn't the same the rest of the year and add in White's injury and you had a recipe for disaster that season

Alabama's team this year wasn't elite. College football as a whole was down this year.
Considerthis. OU rolled up 45.6 points per game leading up to the 2004 Sugar Bowl, butscored only 14 vs. an LSU defense that allowed only 10.8 per game leading up tthe Sugar Bowl. The Sooners put up 461.4 yards per game prior to the Sugar Bowl, but managed only 154 vs. an LSU defense that allowed 259.5 per game.
Bama had similar defensive stats prior to theBCS Championship by giving up 10.7 points & 246 yards per game. That said,Bama would have beaten us. Chuck Long still would have made dumb calls late inthe game like he did vs. the Tigers.
If White isn't banged up, he destroys Bama's weak secondary. We win 31-17.
OU 2003 (when healthy) was a lot better than aTm 2012. We beat this year's Bama team.
OU couldn't even beat LSU that year.
Bama was pretty banged up for a lot of this year's regular season. If we're giving OU a healthy team, then I ****ume we're giving them a healthy team, too.
Looking back at the game against LSU, they beat us on the line of scrimmage for the better part of 3 quarters. I think this year's Alabama team (when healthy) was better than that LSU team on the line of scrimmage. I also think this year's Bama team had a better QB and skill players than that LSU team.
A healthy Jason White helps us out some, but I'm not sure it helps enough. The rest of the Big 12 was pretty overrated for most of 2003. K-State lost its bowl game. So did OSU (to Ole Miss) and Texas (to Washington State). Our '03 team built its rep beating up on a league that wasn't really that good.
I'd give Bama a deer antlers edge in the game.
2000 OU is a very limited upside team (not much if any upperclassman NFL talent in the trenches) but I feel like they simply match up well vs Bama.
- Air raid to make the most run oriented defense in the SEC play out of their comfort zone.
- Very disciplined zone defense to make them execute repeatedly and deny the run.
Where else do we see run based offenses and defenses that are geared towards selling out against the run and leaving lots of single coverage???
Texas 2000, Nebraska 2000, KSU 2000.... red october.
Could end up like Utah-Bama 2008.
Despite the 2000 team being less talented than 2003, I see the 2000 team matching up far better. Particularly on offense with Mangino instead of Long.
As long as this is hypothetical....give us Adrian Peterson.
