So if he won why is this insufferable show on? 20 seconds of Alec Baldwin and I had to turn it off.

I love it. AD wins 30.5 to 19.5 and ESPN says he "edges" out Manning. Will the slurping never end?

Did you see that catch in the end zone? There's a reason AD has had a problem with fumbling in his career...Dude ain't got great hands.

    Part of me says steroids.

And then I realize no amount steroids could really make this happen. The dude has so much will power every time the ball is in his hands. He doesn't go down on contact, he never runs less than as hard as he can, he knows when to look for space and when to blow up a defender, and he's just an absolute freak of nature athlete. When you're a man amongst boys in the freaking NFL, you know you're an all-time great.

This dude is unreal, and I know many don't think it realistic, but I think he absolutely still has a shot to break ****erson's record. He has at least 2 more years left in what is probably his prime, and maybe 3.

If only Minnesota could get a QB who was even a threat to throw the ball, AD would have even more running room.

Peterson had a good season but im not sure a player can dominate his position much more than JJ Watt did. Always goes to the offensive player...smh

'A good season'? That statement might show a little bias. Only 1 other player has ever done what AD did on a lot more carries.

JJ Watt wasn't the most valuable player on his own team. Brian Cushing obviously was. Watt is quite a player tho. Dude has a motor that doesn't stop and is very smart player.

No p**** rushing D-End should ever get MVP honors. All they do is p**** rush. I didn't watch the Texans much this year because I know what they are anyway, but is Watt as good a run stopper as he is a p**** rusher?

I used to be a Dolphins fan back when I was a young kid because I loved Jason Taylor...Great player, much like Watt, but let's hold off on the MVP honors

    That's what I'm wondering.
He didn't have the most sacks ever. He had a very good season for a DE but not stuff we haven't seen before. Hell, Demarcus Ware has had 2 seasons similar in the last few years.

I dont have the numbers with me but I know he's had the most ever passes swatted or "defensed," which is really impressive for a DE. along with 20.5 sacks, one short of the record. and a **** load of tackles and tackles for loss, don't know if he had any records there

So knocking down 15 passes (less than 1 a game) greater than rushing for just shy of 2100 yards behind a lackluster QB and vs defenses that are geared to stop you?

Watt had a great year but the Texans lose probably 1 more game, 2 tops, without him. Minny losses a handful more. The keyword is 'valuable'. I argue that Cushing was more valuable than Watt.

Well cush was hurt the whole season so his value for the team is non existent since he did not play. and what JJ did is almost impossible for a DE to do especially in the 3-4. no player in the league dominated their position the way he did this year. Im not saying Peterson was undeserving, he had a great season, but JJ should have at least been in the mix. but he wasn't mainly because he is a defensive player.

    Define "whole".

The real reason Watt wasn't in the mix was due to Manning's season. You say nobody dominated their position the way Watt did, AD had more rushing yards in December than several teams leading rusher the entire year. He had 861 yards in the month of December (the last 5 games) winning their last 4 to make the playoffs. That yardage would have ranked him 19th in the entire league if he only played those 5 games. He had 484 yards more than the next highest rusher.
