I got a speeding ticket for speeding in a construction zone.
The cop was northbound and I was going southbound on a divided highway.
By the time he made the turn and pulled me over I still wasn't in the construction zone.
After I got my ticket, I got out of the truck and took a picture of the "speed zone ahead" sign with the cops lights on it.

I took off work to fight the ticket.
I had my pictures printed out and a diagram of the road.
There was a podium in front of the judge.
I put my stuff on it.
"Don't touch my podium"
Three times I touched it.
"What part of don't touch my podium do you not understand?"
He didn't want to see my pictures because I was given a ticket for 67 in a 55 mph construction zone.
The speed limit is 65 - so at 67 I was still speeding.

$200 later I sure wanted to tell the judge he was #1.

There used to be a judge in southern OK who occasionally took the bench in red robes. Seriously. Red. He & Thompson were friends, & I always made the ****umption that red robes = **** pump days.
