so the concensus for this cl**** is?
backs on offense: 1 really good QB and one really good RB prospect
receivers: good but not great
Olinemen: average
LBs: we ony signed one, meh
DBs: really good, especially safeties
DEs: good
DTs: good but have to hope they qualify
Oh, I did not realize Dominique Alexander was a LB, so we only signed one, 2 star Corner?
Could be worse people. We could be Texas.

to be fair, Texas had a 5* DT up until a few days ago until he was Bama's
the media hype is affecting everyone and kids want to play in the SEC and play with the best these days, the perception is the best is in the SEC and it's hard to dispute that...7 MNC in a row and I don't see that slowing down any time soon
not saying they win the MNC again this coming year but they will be a strong conference and in the mix for the MNC from now on and very well could make it 8 in a row
Any word on Derrick Griffin? Is he going to be visiting OU? He was a A&M commit, now no longer is and has not signed with anyone.
Recruit rankings, esp espn, is similar to media hype. Keith ford is 5 star and most of our players are high 4 stars yet are undervalued. We certainly missed on a lot of guys but the media circus around everything SEC is over the top. I'm not saying we have a top 10 cl****, but the hype continues to be skewed toward the SEC even contrary to some facts. It's an avalanche of BS.
Hasn't Alabama had at least a top 5, if not higher cl**** in the past 5 five years or so? Is it possible that a team outside all of the 4-5 star athletes could vye for the NC? Sure. But I'd much rather have a bunch of 4-5 star recruits, with some not working out than a cl**** outside the top 10 with a couple of athletes that over achieve.
Theres a correlation between rankings and success. Not necessarily overall team success, as coaching has a lot to do with that (nods towards UT). And its not hype skewed towards the SEC, its the fact that the SEC is basically heads and shoulders above the rest of the conferences and have won 7nc in a row. Saying they are overly hyped is like saying Michael Jordan was overly hyped.
