If Mangino replaces Patton that just means there will be less space along OU's sidelines.

Is Patton the only coach being replaced? I've heard rumors (yes, rumors) about Shipp, kittle, and kish. I'll save my personal preferences for another time. I'm just asking if Patton is the only coach leaving.
Hard to believe that he would return just to coach centers and guards.
It looks from here that stoops has always had a hard time firing people and the hire of kittle was, in part, a device to get Patton to leave. He just ended up with two iffy coaches.
For that matter, would any ol coach of substance be willing to sign on for just interior line duties?
Well if that's the case it might show that the rest of the OU br**** is recognizing that Bob isn't getting the job done. Hopefully this will put pressure on Bob to not be content with being average.
There has been some talk about Brad Davis.
This is a good interview
I like what he said about…..
It’s his job to uncover the talent.
Guys that let you down off the field will let you down on the field.
Expects his guys to over archive.
He sounds very intelligent.
I don’t know where it will be…. but I get a pretty strong feeling that Brad Davis is going to do good things in the coaching profession.

OK, whos the smart ****?Tuscany Bob Stoops@Tuscany_Stoops
OL Coach 4 hire: Must have law clerk, youth pastor,or junior high experience. Football knowledge a bonus. The longer the resume the better.
Arky O-Line coach, maybe?Bret Bielema@BretBielema
Can't say THANK YOU enough to UA administration & support to keep our staff together when others come calling to hire away
Bruce Feldman@BFeldmanCBS
Am told that before reaching out to Oregon ST's OL coach, USC also pursued Stanford's Mike Bloomgren. 0-2.
Mike Cavanaugh is in his eighth season as Oregon State's offensive line coach.

I would like this guy but I'm sure he's tied to Gary Anderson.

Brad Davis seems like he's a damn good coach. I don't know anything about his coaching career or perception, but just based off that video I would have no problem hiring him.

Serious statement based off that video he's got some charisma and seems to have a fire about him. Now, when I say that I would hire him based off the video, I am ****uming he has a good rep within the coaching community as a recruiter, as well as for developing players, teaching technique, and getting the most out of his players.
Scoop guys just dropped a story on a potential hire not Mangina... Behind the pay wall.
who is it?
I don't trust that guy. He looks crazy. Never trust anyone that looks crazy.

#Sooners might hire an OL coach who did a coaching stint at Oklahoma Panhandle State

Ty Barrett #78@TyBarret
Still got Coach Kittle tho!!! And Coach Stoops not going no where!!
Bob's scared to hire an outsider. That outsider may know more football than Bob.
Doing time at PSU only shows a very large desire to coach.
Welp.....
MT @SoonerScoop Just gonna let cat out of bag. Hearing Mangino out as leading candidate & WVUs Bill Bedenbaugh now in lead to replace Patton
@JLMcCuistion
As @SoonerScoop alluded to Bill Bedenbaugh is a respected recruiter: landed recruits all over (FL, TX, OK). Recent role is in B1G. #Sooners
He's not just a OL guy he's landed studs at other positions

Another important point to ponder...we all know we arent going away from the spread under this staff. So why not get a guy that has proven he can have a successful run game out of the spread. Bedenbaugh has done that at Zona and WVU
