Thread title seems misleading. Sounded like they were respectfully explaining Oklahoma City over the past 20 years and our rise.
Oklahoma City still isn't somewhere I personally would prefer to live but I'll give it to you that it's no longer somewhere I dread visiting.

The reporter on that story is David Alan. I worked with him in the late 90's at KOCO where he was the main anchor. Good Guy.
I read this article as being complimentary of OKC. It's certainly come a long way since I moved there right after OU in the early 90s.

They are very complimentary of OKC and of the Thunder. It has been on the news all week what Va Beach has to do to get a basketball team. Don't get me wrong I have enjoyed seeing OKC on the news all week. It looks a lot different than it did 25 years ago when I enlisted at the meps station. On a completely unrelated thought, holy **** I need to retire.
