Won't happen. One already committed to OSU and the top player in the state will have big brother at OSU as well.

The first kid you speak of is not someone we want on our team, he tried to commit to OU and then publicly comes out and says he rushed into that decision (we never accepted his commitment) and that he was going to take his time and take his 5 visits before committing. He then goes to Stillwater and commits on the spot.
I don't see that as a loss for us at all. Who's the other kid you speak of?

I know OU wont land half of these guys, well don't expect them to, but this is a good starting point to see who's offered and uncommitted.

Absolutely. Even though we won't get most of them, it's a great start for the 2014 recruiting cl**** for the (remaining) coaches.
Why do you say he isn't the kind of kid we want? How many players did we just sign that waffled on their decision? If there's more to your story, do tell. I know he had some problems and missed several games, but I don't think the reason was ever released.
When is the last time two 4 Star QBs came out of Oklahoma? And with the possibility that one or both could be bumped up to 5 Star. I say we sign both of them. That was Bear Bryants recruiting strategy, sign all of the best players, at least then it keeps them from other teams. Seems Bama is doing the same lately.
There's more. Some people think its a big deal. From what I know, it isn't THAT big of a deal but I do think that we never really offered him a commitable offer. Or we pulled it at some point.
That said, I don't know anything really detailed about it. Just the gist of what happened.
That was also Switzer's strategy, but you can't do it anymore with the 85 limit. You can certainly do it at a few positions, but you will pay elsewhere.
I will sign both of them only if Cody Thomas signs with MLB.
Not sure OU has a realistic shot at Cornwell. He's a Florida transplant, and I read a little while back (I think it was in the Daily Oklahoman) where he said he was likely going to school out of state.
Just a little FYI, all these guys are all relatively close in proximity to OU i.e. Oklahoma, Texas or Kansas. Also to include kids where OU has landed previous kids recently, i.e. Fresno Central.

EDIT: haha! We're in on Cameron Robinson, top rated OL in the country (at the moment), #7 overall, from Monroe, Louisiana. We've had some success there before, but obviously a very difficult pull.
I don't think he had an offer.
That's why he "committed" to us and then "uncommitted" so quickly.
He made a big deal about committing to OU and how he was going to Bedlam to inform the coaches in person... Yet there were never any stories afterwards about how that went. Then, a few days later, "things have changed" and he's decommitted. And the coaches can't legally comment on it, so we only get the kid's side of the story.
I've heard from many different people that 2014 has the potential to be a very good cl****. Lets hope Bob and this altered staff can get after it.
we general do a good job in Kansas, hope some one continues to work on Braden Smith since kittles is gone.
