Doc re HIV/AIDS. Never saw that this came near here, but I'll see it as soon as I can. Looks incredible. The boots on the ground people working every day with this population have my heart. It's up for a Best Doc Oscar tomorrow & I hope it wins.

Dirty needles are a good cause. I don't think anyone ****ed a monkey, the spread was likely caused by a case of bushmeat.

IDGAF about Dave Chapelle, I am here to talk fact. There is a very popular theory (with proven evidence of this being the case) going around that AIDS was transmitted by bush meat. It is a vulgar, homophobic, view that translates the leap from monkeys to human as "SOME ****BATE HAD **** WITH A MONKEY".
I thought giving bushmeat was when you did it outdoors.
In all seriousness it is sad that because of who the popularly believed target population was it delayed the initial identification and treatment.
That being said if evangelicals were suffering a similar plague you wouldn't see Hollywood wearing ribbons or doing less then rejoicing.

Scientists believe a little girl born with HIV has been cured of the infection.
She's the first child and only the second person in the world known to have been cured since the virus touched off a global pandemic nearly 32 years ago.

The fact of the matter is, the Right wing of American politics is full of misinformation about the spread of AIDS (not to mention Dave Chappelle trolled all you right of center peeps to begin with).
