I liked the helmets and uni's that arkansas wore when they had the white helmet with the hog just outlined on the white helmet, then the jerseys were pretty cool...I wish we would do something this once a year, or for the RRR and Bedlam...then go back to traditional. The bad part, we have hung on this long to not do it, if we do it now, we are 87th in line that is doing it..ie Tech and Houston
OU needs this too.
Screw all this, "we're Oklahoma, we don't do that" talk.
The world is differnt now. Some of these players will attend a school simply b/c they are sponsored by Nike and have cool unis.
Take advantage of that. Even OSU has better unis than us now....they somehow managed to make that AWFUL looking orange look good.
We need at least 1 alt helmet, and some different pants. Nothing too wild, but just something different.

The tradition at Oklahoma isn't the uniform, it's that we win in excess. We won under Bud wearing white. We won under Barry wearing Crimson. And we have won under Bob after we made the helmets sparklier in 2000.
Our school colors are crimson and cream. We have an inter-locking OU on the helmet. Beyond that, if the players want to wear something different for one game a year, I'm fine with it, provided they uphold our tradition of winning.

If it really is just about appealing to 18 and 19-year-olds (especially this generation) there's only one natural progression and the sooner we get on board the better.

Those red helmets are horrible. I think one time a year OU should break out the alternates. Noting too crazy and stupid like Oregon. But enough to notice without it being ugly obnoxious.

We should not even entertain the idea of going away from the interlocking OU. The brand awareness we have with that logo is great. Sports fans recognize the paperclip.
To get rid of the interlocking OU would be like the Yankees changing their stylized NY logo. Or like Nike giving up the swoosh logo. No, there's no reason to go away from our paperclip logo.

Chromes been done, I'm surprised an SEC team hasn't put trucknuts on their chin straps.
We should be the first to do helmet LED's, and when you tweet @ a player during the game it scrolls across the back like a marquee.

Yeah some of those helmets are hits others misses. Kliff Kingsbury has it written in his contract that he will be in charge of the uniforms in the future.
I think the most conservative, big-money types should keep making all the decisions, because everybody knows that change is not inevitable if you just close your eyes long enough and clench your sphincter tightly enough!
