I would kind of like to see Lamb of God.

Well the Uproar festival was fun thanks to 3 pitchers of margaritas at Berryhill prior to walking over to the concert, I then had a Land Shark beer once inside and then only water.
Seeing Staind and Godsmack really took me back to 2001 the shows were almost identical, As usual Shinedown was great live even though I am not a huge fan. They played a couple of new songs and the night was fun.
2 douche bags in front of me started fighting over whether or not the guy had seen some girl he day before and after about 10 minutes of it I told them to go fight some ****ing where else because I paid $70 bucks to listen to music not watch Jerry Springer

Pretty Lights at Brady Theater next Tuesday. Anyone else going?
September 17th, 201201:48 PM
It's Robert Earl Keen for me next Friday.
September 17th, 201202:58 PM
I wish as that would make for a nice concert trifecta. As is, I am going to the Head and the Heart at Cains next Sunday and then Band of Skulls at the Vanguard the next day!

I am pretty sure I got an e-mail that Weezer is coming to the Belle Isle brewery...
If so, I am going. I am also taking my kids to Aerosmith, they REALLY want to go to that one for some reason.
September 24th, 201210:28 AM
Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Nov 7th @ the Caines
September 24th, 201212:06 PM
Weezer is high on the list for me as well.
I could live without Aerosmith though.
September 24th, 201212:18 PM
Me too...the Weezer thing is weird, I can find it on some places, with links to their website...but no ticket info, etc
September 24th, 201212:20 PM
Hmmm. It's a secret. I wanna go.
September 24th, 201212:40 PM
I gotta call bullshit on devo lip syncing and not playing their instruments.
September 24th, 201212:48 PM
Seriously? That place isn't that big, or wasn't the last time I was there, which has been a while. Have they expanded?
September 24th, 201212:49 PM
Was there on Friday evening......

Just got tickets for JD McPherson at Cain's. Saturday night show. Pretty excited. I've heard people say he puts on one of the best live performances they've seen. His new original Christmas song, Twinkle (Little Christmas Lights) is great Rock n Roll, and I'd say an instant classic. His story is pretty cool. I guess he grew up in Broken Arrow, graduated from TU, and was a teacher not that long ago. He's doing a World tour, so I guess a lot of people like him. I first heard his song "North Side Gal" on the Adult Alternative channel on Cox Music Choice. I thought the song was cool so I googled him and saw that he was from Broken Arrow. I know, cool story bro.

Dallas has some good stuff coming up, I am going to try and catch all all of these:
2/16 - Flogging Molly - House of Blues
2/26 - Dropkick Murphys - House of Blues
3/14 - Bad Religion w/ Against Me! opening - House of Blues
3/15 (I think) - The Revival Tour - Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music) and Tim McIlraith (Rise Against) - The trees in Deep Ellum (I think)

Are you actually going to DKM @ HOB this time?!
January 16th, 201310:48 PM
This shitty thread is still around and you ****s are still seeing shitty shows. Shocker.
January 17th, 201309:55 AM
THank you for your fine contribution to this thread. Please go back to whatever dubstep artist is popular this week.
January 17th, 201310:17 AM
Definitely one of my fav. venues; and now they have a new restaurant/bar with rooftop patio right next door. Sounds like a cool place to throw back beforehand and kick back afterwards.
January 17th, 201312:54 PM
lol ... you couldn't possibly be more off base with me ... but whatevs ... i see you still haven't broadened your horizons from only listening to DKMs and a few other shitbands
January 17th, 201301:02 PM
deadserious = SGA?
What's the last show you saw, SG...I mean, deadserious?
January 17th, 201301:03 PM
That is the plan. I know for sure on FM, taking the wife and it has been a few years since we have seen them. DKM I might have to take my 10 y/o daughter to be able to pull it off, but I am not above doing that.
January 17th, 201301:06 PM
So you realize that Bad Religion has been around forever and is a main cog in the American Punk scene, as well as the lead singer is the founder/CEO of Epitaph records...who have been responsible for helping tons of talent get out there.
If you think DKM is a shit band, you apparently have not listened to them, their range, or scene a live show of theirs.
The revival tour is shit? Okay...no real variety there.
Sorry, go back to radiohead because that is what the radio told you to listen to.
January 17th, 201301:23 PM

**** now I gotta burn their LP's I have.
January 27th, 201308:52 PM
LP's? Don't forget the eight tracks too.
January 27th, 201308:56 PM
I've explained this before. I buy records now because they all come with a digital download. I get the big art work, support the artist and get the digital content without ripping the CD myself. I don't even own a record player.
January 27th, 201310:46 PM
I didn't know they came like that. I used to love my albums. Something about opening them up and reading everything in them.
January 27th, 201311:54 PM
I buy albums for that very reason. That's an experience that you miss in the digital world.
That and the sound quality (provided you actually take care of your vinyl) is better. You have to have a decent speaker setup though.
January 28th, 201303:31 AM
I still have my SL3200(Bought down on Campus Corner) and my 301's somewhere. My Marantz receive and Teac deck were not so lucky. I miss having my records around. I think they have a much better sound.
