Actually, I doubt if I have had an inch total. 20 miles south or east of me is the flood zone.

Power just went out. I'm thinking it might not come back for a while.

I could've swore I just saw purple lightning in T-town. Is that common?

  6. #14306
So here's my plan tonight. Leftover firewood from summer and steaks from the Reasors meat sale. Then sleep. There's only 2 things to do in a thunderstorm, but I'm married. So that means there's only 1 thing to do in a thunderstorm.

No, it's not common. That's why we are furked, electricity wise. Get the candles out and break out the booze. We make our own entertainment tonight.

Usually it's lightning hitting a transformer, so yeah, fairly common in Tulsa. l

Another cool and wet Saturday. I was in DC last weekend, same thing. Tired of it. I don't know how folks that live in some perpetually damp place like Oregon or England stand it.

Dude, once I was loading a molten sulfur rail car and had to shit in a bucket. Thing one when loading sulfur you have to wear supplied air to avoid H2S exposure and since we weren't loading on a scale I had to baby sit it. Couldn't leave and the urge hit me hard. So ran downstairs and grabbed a bucket and paper towels and took it back up to the load rack put my air back on and took my very runny shit and then dumped it down the sump pump. That sump pump returned water and my shit back to the process where my poop became Potassium Thio-sulfide.

Chilly out this morning. 46 degrees when I got up. No wind today and lots of sun. Pulled the cover off my pool yesterday. Today is pool cleanup day.
