Just think, if they played in the West they'd be a way below average pile of shit.

This team is becoming very hard to watch. I get every Cards game on the TV, and I've been shutting them off here recently. I mean how much can a guy take? A guy I work with who is a huge Cards fan is all "but they're only a half-game out."

It's a long season. They'll either be ok or not. I'll still support them though. Love me some Cardinals.

    Smh. Awful. Just awful.

This team is awful and going nowhere. The roster is shit. They have great SP, shaky pen, shitty defense, shitty baseruning, zero baseball awareness, and a middle school offense of wet noodles.

    Everyone is to blame.

    Not everyone, just you.

Can't believe we managed to sweep somebody...even if it is Philly. This team is a weird one this year.

This team is not good. Fortunately, the entire division is crap. Not that it means much. Maybe... nevermind. Blah.

Also, saw a stat that cards have lost more games when leading by multiple runs since... 1895.

    Keep complaining. It's working wonders.

Great wins the last 2 days... But we seriously need some bullpen help...

Yes we do. And it was the Phils afterall, but I did enjoy the last couple nights' games. Today? Back to business as usual...

All-Star break and we're tied with the cubbies. I'll take it.

And we're still seven games out of making the playoffs

Don't think we'll be making any big moves either...

We suck this year. Using us as a measuring stick will find you lacking.

Funky injuries. I'm really liking DeJong and Voit. SP has been pretty solid. I really think we're fixin' to turn the corner.

Milwaukee is benefitting from the Cards and Cubs taking the year off. It will be interesting to see if the Cards make any moves, buy or sell, before the deadline.

I forget. I just think about all the titles and it brings me peace.

Probably best to look back when the future is as bleak as yours is.

Mariners Acquire Marco Gonzales From Cardinals For Tyler O’Neill

In acquiring Gonzales, the M’s gave up a well-regarded young player in O’Neill, who was comfortably positioned within preseason top-1oo prospect lists from MLB.com (36th), Baseball America (38th), Baseball Prospectus (53rd). Power is O’Neill’s calling card, as he has 89 homers over 1794 minor league plate appearances, including 19 this season at the Triple-A level. O’Neill got off to something of a slow start in his first taste of Triple-A action, though he has recovered to post a .244/.328/.479 slash line through 396 PA. He has cut down on his strikeouts over the last two seasons, though he still gets more than his share of whiffs, with 108 strikeouts this season. O’Neill’s plate discipline and average corner outfield defense are also works in progress, though the 22-year-old Canadian has so much raw power and overall hitting potential that the Cardinals are surely willing to tolerate some growing pains.

The Cardinals bats have finally come to life, and they have quietly slipped back into contention.

In 2011 they had the Rally Squirrel. They now have the Rally Cat. Look out!

4 game sweep of the royals. Back to back go ahead grand slams. Rally cat.

Lots of fun. Keep it going.

9 in a row now. If the Cubs lose, it'll be a tie for first.

    First place is a go.

    Bryce Harper's knee just imploded.

If you haven't seen Bryce Harper's injury yet don't go looking for it. Knee just bent backwards slipping on the base. Probably out almost a year.

Ah, I see some are back on the bandwagon...

Great leadership from Yadi, the pitching, the young guys (DeJong is a beast), and a happy clubhouse. I'm frankly shocked at the offensive output vs. the crapshow that was the first half of the season. Keep it rolling boys, keep it rolling.

Wow no ligament damage for Harper. Just a bone bruise.

That's really hard to believe... A "bone bruise" like that could still take some significant time to recover from..
